\n\tEXCLUSIVE<\/strong>: The Forsytes<\/a> has been renewed for a third season before the period drama has even premiered on PBS Masterpiece<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe adaptation of John Galsworthy\u2019s novel, The Forsyte Saga, will head into production on Season 3 next month in the UK and on location in Europe, Deadline hears.<\/p>\n

\n\tProduced by Mammoth Screen, Season 1 premieres on PBS Masterpiece on March 22<\/a>. The series has already debuted in the UK on 5, the Paramount-owned network. Season 2 was filmed last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tA sweeping portrait of a wealthy British family in 1880s London, the show\u2019s ensemble cast is led by BAFTA-winner\u00a0Francesca Annis<\/a>\u00a0(Lillie), who plays formidable matriarch Ann.<\/p>\n

\n\tTrue Blood\u00a0star\u00a0Stephen Moyer\u00a0and\u00a0Doctor Who\u00a0actress\u00a0Millie Gibson<\/a>\u00a0also feature alongside the likes of Jack Davenport (The Morning Show)\u00a0and\u00a0Eleanor Tomlinson<\/a>\u00a0(One Day).<\/p>\n

\n\tMoyer features as Ann\u2019s eldest son, Jolyon Senior, head of the family stockbroking firm Forsyte & Co.\u00a0Danny Griffin<\/a>\u00a0(Fate: The Winx Saga) plays his bohemian son Jo, while\u00a0Tuppence Middleton<\/a>\u00a0(Downton Abbey: A New Era) is his status-driven wife Frances.\u00a0Tomlinson<\/a>\u00a0(One Day) plays Louisa Byrne, a Soho dressmaker and Jo\u2019s first love.<\/p>\n

\n\tDavenport<\/a>\u202f(The Morning Show)\u202fplays Ann\u2019s competitive younger son\u202fJames. \u202fJoshua Orpin<\/a>\u202f(Titans)\u202fstars as James\u2019 shrewd son Soames, with Gibson<\/a>\u202f(Doctor Who)\u202ffeaturing as his love interest.\u00a0Tom Durant Pritchard<\/a>\u202f(This Is Going To Hurt)\u202fplays Monty\u202fDartie, James\u2019 son-in-law.<\/p>\n

\n\tDebbie Horsfield (Poldark)\u00a0penned the adaptation. Executive producers are Horsfield, Meenu Gaur, Michael Ray, and Damien Timmer for\u00a0Mammoth Screen<\/a>, part of ITV Studios. Susanne Simpson executive produces for Masterpiece.<\/p>\n
