{"id":380538,"date":"2026-03-12T02:30:14","date_gmt":"2026-03-12T02:30:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/380538\/"},"modified":"2026-03-12T02:30:14","modified_gmt":"2026-03-12T02:30:14","slug":"why-housewife-caroline-stanbury-still-feels-safer-living-in-dubai-than-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/380538\/","title":{"rendered":"Why &#8216;Housewife&#8217; Caroline Stanbury still &#8216;feels safer&#8217; living in Dubai than US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Caroline Stanbury may be thousands of miles away from home, but the reality star says she still feels safer in Dubai than she does in the United States \u2014 even as tensions escalate between the UAE and Iran.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cTraitors\u201d star and \u201cReal Housewives of Dubai\u201d alum exclusively told <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/virtual-reali-tea\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Page Six\u2019s \u201cVirtual Reali-Tea\u201d <\/a>on Friday that she plans to return to Dubai on March 15, explaining that flight availability \u2014 not fear \u2014 is what has kept her in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am on the first flight, which is the 15th,\u201d Stanbury said. \u201cPeople keep asking me about this and I\u2019m going to clear it up actually. It\u2019s quite good because the flights from the US [opened] up on the 7th but there are no direct flights from LA until the 15th, so I\u2019m on that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chatting with Page Six\u2019s \u201cVirtual Reali-Tea\u201d from a friend\u2019s home in Los Angeles, Caroline Stanbury shared her thoughts on living in Dubai amid the Iran war. Page Six<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cTraitors\u201d star, pictured here on a beach in November 2024, said she \u201cstill [feels] safer\u201d living in the Middle East. carolinestanbury\/instagram<\/p>\n<p>The 49-year-old TV personality, who is currently staying at a friend\u2019s house in Los Angeles with her husband, Sergio Carrallo, said she\u2019s been reassured knowing her twin sons are safe back home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I\u2019m comfortable now because my ex-husband is with the children, he got in, they\u2019re all together,\u201d she explained, referring to her former spouse, Cem Habib. \u201cSo it\u2019s not like \u2026 they were home alone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stanbury shares 16-year-old boys Zack and Aaron with Habib, and she said the teens have remained remarkably calm despite the headlines.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAgain, I have two 16-year-old boys and obviously I know the severity of the situation but thank god, being teenagers, they\u2019re like, \u2018Mom, calm down. We\u2019re fine, stay over there,\u2019\u201d she said with a laugh. \u201cSo it wasn\u2019t like they were in this giant disaster zone and having a heart attack while I was sitting over here in LA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stanbury (second from left) starred on Bravo\u2019s \u201cThe Real Housewives of Dubai\u201d for two seasons that aired from 2022 until 2024. So I\u2019d rather stay put and wait it out. This is quite interesting. There were 600 missiles, 500 drones intercepted and I was in Austin on the first of March 24 hours before <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/01\/us-news\/austin-mass-shooter-possibly-motivated-by-iran-attacks-quran-found-in-car-as-fbi-eyes-terrorism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">the mass shooting<\/a> \u2014 so in all of this war so far, we have had three deaths,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Since her interview, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/world\/iranian-barrages-target-israel-and-gulf-countries-as-hegseth-warns-iran-of-most-intense-day-of-strikes\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PBS reported<\/a> that six people have died and 122 wounded in Dubai.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I think there were 14 people injured in Austin and I\u2019m not sure how many people died. And there\u2019s been two other shootings since then in America,\u201d Stanbury continued. \u201cSo let\u2019s just put it in perspective.
