{"id":383495,"date":"2026-03-13T17:49:17","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T17:49:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/383495\/"},"modified":"2026-03-13T17:49:17","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T17:49:17","slug":"employment-rate-up-in-q4-2025-news-articles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/383495\/","title":{"rendered":"Employment rate up in Q4 2025 &#8211; News articles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">In the fourth quarter of 2025, the <a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/statistics-explained\/index.php?title=Glossary:Employment_rate\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">employment rate<\/a> of people aged 20-64 in the <a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/statistics-explained\/index.php?title=Glossary:European_Union_(EU)\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">EU<\/a> stood at 76.3%, up from 76.2% in the third quarter of 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\"><a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/statistics-explained\/index.php?title=Glossary:Labour_market_slack\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Labour market slack<\/a> \u2013 all persons who have an unmet need for employment, including unemployed people \u2013 stood at 11.0% of the extended labour force aged 20-64 in the fourth quarter of 2025, stable compared with the third quarter of 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">This information comes from\u00a0<a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/web\/lfs\/database\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">data on the labour market <\/a>in the fourth quarter of 2025, published today by Eurostat.
