Was Zara Larsson<\/a> ever asked to replace Camila Cabello<\/a> in Fifth Harmony<\/a>?<\/p>\n Fans of the “Work from Home” group previously speculated Larsson, 28, could join the group following Cabello’s exit in 2016. In a new interview with Tom\u00e1s Mier at the Spotify Live Room<\/a>, the “Midnight Sun” singer denied the rumor.<\/p>\n “Oh, no. I don\u2019t do groups,” said Larsson. “I would never be in a group.”<\/p>\n The Grammy-nominated artist clarified she’s “always” been a fan of Fifth Harmony but couldn’t see herself as a member of any girl group. “I’m a big fan of girl groups. Like, I love that. I also like that I feel like the girl groups are coming back big time,” she explained.<\/p>\n “I just know personally, if I was, I would be front and center,” added Larsson.<\/p>\n “I love a girl group,” she continued. “I just couldn\u2019t take not singing lead all the time.”<\/p>\n Larsson further confirmed she wasn’t approached to join the group. “It wasn\u2019t like that,” said the star, who toured with Fifth Harmony and Cher Lloyd<\/a> in 2013.<\/p>\n “I actually loved to be on that tour,” she recalled. “That\u2019s memories for life. What a good time that was. What an era.”<\/p>\n Formed in 2012 on the second season of The X Factor U.S., Fifth Harmony originally featured Cabello, 29, Normani<\/a>, Lauren Jauregui<\/a>, Dinah Jane<\/a> and Ally Brooke<\/a>. She’s since released four albums and earned No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Havana” and “Se\u00f1orita.”<\/p>\n Fifth Harmony released one album without Cabello in 2017 before announcing an indefinite hiatus the following year.
