height: auto; display: block;\" loading=\"eager\" fetchpriority=\"high\" width=\"852\" height=\"479\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/radic-portrait-hero-852x479.jpg\" class=\"attachment-article_large_image size-article_large_image nolazy\" alt=\"Smiljian Radic\" decoding=\"async\"  data-pin-nopin=\"true\"\/>    <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/this-week-on-dezeen\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">This week on Dezeen<\/a>, Chilean architect\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/smiljan-radic\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Smiljan Radi\u0107<\/a> was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/03\/12\/smiljan-radic-wins-pritzker-architecture-prize-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">named as this year&#8217;s Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Radi\u0107, who was recognised for his buildings that are &#8220;immediately recognizable, yet conceptually evasive&#8221;, is the 55th winner of the award.<\/p>\n<p>Following the announcement we looked at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/03\/12\/pritzker-prize-2026-winner-smiljan-radic-key-projects\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">eight of his most significant buildings<\/a>, including the 2014 Serpentine Pavilion and his House for the Poem of the Right Angle.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/03\/11\/architects-highly-expose-ai-anthropic-research\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2304589 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/ai-exposure-graph-AI-852x479.jpg\" alt=\"Anthropic AI study\" width=\"2364\" height=\"1330\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/03\/11\/architects-highly-expose-ai-anthropic-research\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Anthropic published a study on the impact of AI<\/a><\/p>\n<p>AI was in the news this week, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/03\/11\/architects-highly-expose-ai-anthropic-research\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a study from Anthropic finding that lots of the work done by architects<\/a> could be done twice as quickly using large language models.<\/p>\n<p>It was also announced that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/03\/11\/ai-planning-tool-google-uk-government\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google will be building an\u00a0AI tool for the UK government to help speed up planning decisions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/03\/09\/jony-ive-rostrum-christies-auction-house\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2305167 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1773486431_266_jony-ive-rostrum-christies-auction-house-2_dezeen_2364_hero-852x480.jpg\" alt=\"Rostrum by Jony Ive\" width=\"1704\" height=\"959\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/03\/09\/jony-ive-rostrum-christies-auction-house\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jony Ive designed a rostrum for Christie&#8217;s<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In design news, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/03\/09\/jony-ive-rostrum-christies-auction-house\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jony Ive&#8217;s studio LoveFrom and UK studio Benchmark created a rostrum<\/a> for the Christie&#8217;s auction house that replaces one designed by Thomas Chippendale in 1776.<\/p>\n<p>In other furniture news, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/03\/10\/kelly-wearstler-first-ever-piano-design\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kelly Wearstler unveiled her first-ever piano<\/a>, which features &#8220;sensual and unexpected&#8221;
