Bathed in light oak wood tones, a neutral colour palette, and tactile accents such as rattan, the home offers a quiet, adaptable backdrop to everyday life. The artistic half of the couple, who enjoys painting and singing, often documents her performances within these restrained settings— spaces designed to transform seamlessly into varied visual frames for her videos without ever appearing overly styled or restrictive.

The paint is from Asian Paints.

The living space is envisioned to feel open yet composed. Built-in storage, crafted in light oak, offers generous capacity without visually overwhelming the room. Curved furniture edges and rounded detailing establish a gentle continuity with the dining area, subtly knitting the two spaces together. These inbuilt elements are softened by layered furnishings that introduce texture through rattan and fabric, while accents of sage green make quiet appearances across seating and accessories. The custom-built dining unit is conceived as an inbuilt element that flows organically from the architecture, integrating storage in a manner that maintains the visual lightness of the space.

Storage is a defining aspect of this home in Pune, carefully integrated to remain visually unobtrusive. “Most of the storage elements are designed to feel concealed within the interior, ensuring the spaces remain uncluttered,” share the designers. In the child’s room, for instance, the floor bed steps double up as hidden storage, while otherwise awkward corner zones are resolved with top-opening shutters to maximise usability. To introduce a sense of playfulness, a subtle jungle-themed wallpaper in soft green tones enlivens the room, gently tying into the home’s overarching colour story.

Design Studio Associate served as the interior and civil contractor for the project.
