\n\tAlthough the devil is returning for another serving of Prada, one character might have been too evil for an invitation to the sequel.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdrian Grenier<\/a> recently discussed not being asked to return for The Devil Wears Prada<\/a> 2 after playing Andy Sachs\u2019 (Anne Hathaway) chef boyfriend Nate in the 2006 feature adaptation of Lauren Weisberger\u2019s novel.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019re all fans of the movie, whether or not we\u2019re in it,\u201d Grenier explained to Page Six<\/a>. \u201cObviously, it was a disappointment that I didn\u2019t get the call to be in the sequel, but I also understand there\u2019s some backlash with Nate, the character, so that might have something to do with it. But I think that just leaves room for a spinoff.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOver the years, fans have on social media have called out Nate\u2019s selfish behavior in his relationship with Andy, seemingly upset with her for pursuing a career in fashion. The couple goes through it in the first film, with their relationship status left up in the air.<\/p>\n

\n\tPremiering May 1 in theaters, The Devil Wears Prada 2<\/a> sees the fashionable return of Hathaway\u2019s Andi, Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestley, Emily Blunt as Emily Charlton and Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough Grenier does not reprise his role as Nate, Tracie Thoms will be back as their friend Lily.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn The Devil Wears Prada 2, Andy returns to Runway Magazine 20 years after quitting on Miranda in Paris. As the publication struggles to keep up with the evolving media landscape, the pair has to convince fellow former assistant Emily, now head of a luxury brand, to buy advertising that could save Runway.<\/p>\n
