{"id":389035,"date":"2026-03-17T04:43:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-17T04:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/389035\/"},"modified":"2026-03-17T04:43:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T04:43:08","slug":"rebecca-ferguson-previews-minor-role-in-dune-part-three","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/389035\/","title":{"rendered":"Rebecca Ferguson Previews Minor Role In &#8216;Dune: Part Three&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/rebecca-ferguson\/\" id=\"auto-tag_rebecca-ferguson\" data-tag=\"rebecca-ferguson\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rebecca Ferguson<\/a> is previewing her role in <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/denis-villeneuve\/\" id=\"auto-tag_denis-villeneuve\" data-tag=\"denis-villeneuve\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Denis Villeneuve<\/a>\u2018s continuation of the Dune saga.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn a conversation with Josh Horowitz\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8pKxNzsygxY\" target=\"_blank\">Happy Sad Confused podcast<\/a>, Ferguson discussed returning to the desert planet with <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/dune-part-three\/\" id=\"auto-tag_dune-part-three\" data-tag=\"dune-part-three\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dune: Part Three<\/a>, which draws from Frank Herbert\u2019s 1969 sequel novel Dune Messiah.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cI just dipped my toe in. I have no, sort of, comments on it,\u201d the Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man star said. \u201cThe script is great, I\u2019ve read it. I think it\u2019s gonna be fantastic. But my journey was No. 1 and 2. I don\u2019t even think she [my character] was supposed to be in 3. And then Denis was like, \u2018I need to have one scene,\u2019 and I get one scene.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tShe continued of exiting the trilogy: \u201cAnd that was a weird feeling, walking onto a set that you know so well, and knowing that you don\u2019t have a part of it. There\u2019s a lot of FOMO. And the acceptance of, \u2018This is just what it is.\u2019 You just have to serve [the story].\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFerguson, who appeared in the 2021 and 2024 predecessors, portrays the powerful Lady Jessica, a Bene Gesserit mother to chosen one Paul Atreides (Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet). The actress was quick to shower praise on her director, saying of Villeneuve: \u201cHe\u2019s just intelligent, creative; he\u2019s a master, and he works with people that he makes better, and they make him better. It\u2019s a symbiosis. And they are few and far between.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThere has been much hype around the third installment, due in theaters Dec. 18, with <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/03\/dune-part-3-trailer-release-date-character-posters-1236756805\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">new character posters being unveiled earlier today<\/a>. A highly anticipated trailer drops tomorrow, and Deadline will release commentary from Villeneuve about the epic sci-fi feature. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tChalamet, Zendaya, Isaach de Bankol\u00e9, Robert Pattinson, Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jason Momoa and Javier Bardem star in what is billed as \u201cthe epic conclusion\u201d to the sprawling trilogy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Rebecca Ferguson is previewing her role in Denis Villeneuve\u2018s continuation of the Dune saga.
