\n\tThailand\u2019s Benetone Films and Fearfolks have set Pae Arak<\/a> and Weir Sukollawat<\/a> to lead the cast of \u201cCher<\/a>,\u201d an upcoming Thai horror epic currently in pre-production in Bangkok.<\/p>\n

\n\tArak is known for \u201cThe Stone\u201d and \u201cIn Youth We Trust,\u201d while Sukollawat previously starred in \u201cBangkok Breaking\u201d and \u201cHome for Rent.\u201d The two actors recently shared the screen in the Thai action film \u201c4 Tigers,\u201d which ranked among the top-grossing Thai releases of 2025, earning over THB102 million baht ($3.2 million) locally and holding the No. 1 spot at the box office for four consecutive weeks.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cCher\u201d centers on a police officer whose investigation into a vine-covered corpse found near a remote mining camp encroaching on sacred forestland brings him into conflict with his estranged brother\u2019s secrets \u2014 and draws out rumors of a vengeful Thai forest spirit whose wrath may be connected to a mysterious young woman.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe script comes from Patrick Graham, the writer behind Netflix\u2019s Indian horror series \u201cGhoul\u201d and \u201cBetaal,\u201d with Songsak Mongkolthong (\u201cSchool Tales the Series,\u201d \u201cGraveyard Horror\u201d) attached to direct.<\/p>\n

\n\tFearfolks CEO Hans Audric Estialbo is handling international sales on the project at this year\u2019s Hong Kong FilMart<\/a>.<\/p>\n
