Anne Hathaway<\/a> looked \u2018unrecognisable\u2019 as she stepped out on the Oscars 2026<\/a> red carpet on Sunday evening. Fans were quick to comment on the 43-year-old actress\u2019 taut and radiant complexion, with one questioning what tweakments she may\u2019ve had.<\/p>\n

One fan wrote on X: \u201cWhat did Anne Hathaway do to her face and why\u201d. Another said: \u201cAnne Hathaway debuting her new face.\u201d Another commented that Anne looked like \u201ca mixture of the face of the young Renee Zellweger<\/a> and Katherine Heigl,\u201d while a fourth remarked: \u201cShe was almost unrecognizable.\u201d The Mirror<\/a> has contacted Anne for comment.<\/p>\n

Anne asked Anna for her opinion on her Valentino dress \u2013 to which the fashion editor jokingly ignored her and went on to announce the nominees, much to the amusement of the audience.<\/p>\n

The Oscars 2026<\/a>, aka the biggest night in Hollywood, featured several huge moments that had audiences going wild, including some that made history.<\/p>\n

US comedian Conan O’Brien hosted the awards live<\/a> from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, as Hollywood celebrated some huge films, such as Sinners, One Battle After Another and Hamnet. There were several monumental wins – Sinners’ cinematographer Autumn Durald Arakpaw became the first woman and the first woman of colour to win Best Cinematography, while KPop Demon Hunters’ hit song Golden was the first KPop track to win Best Original Song.<\/p>\n

These historic firsts were underscored by a fantastically rare moment where two films won the same award. For just the seventh time in Oscars history, a tie meant there was more than one winner for Best Live Action Short<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There were also some beautiful tributes to the stars that had died in the past year. Billy Crystal led the tribute to Rob<\/a> Reiner, after having known him for years and appearing in his film When Harry Met Sally. “My friend Rob’s movies will last a life time,” Billy said. He added that when his wife Michele entered his life, Rob became “unstoppable”. Billy described Rob and Michele as the “driving force” behind marriage equality in the US and said “their loss is immeasurable”.<\/p>\n

Billy, who choked up as he spoke, concluded with: “For those of us who had the pleasure of working with him and loving him, all we can say is: Buddy we had fun storming the castle.”<\/p>\n

He was then joined on stage by several of Rob’s friends and co-workers, including Kathy Bates and Meg Ryan. Billy and Meg were the two leads in When Harry Met Sally, which is widely regarded as one of the best romantic comedies of all time.<\/p>\n

The singer and Best Actress Oscar winner Barbra Streisand led the tributes to Robert Redford at the end of the ‘in memoriam section’. After talking about how much she loved Robert, Barbra ended her tribute by launching into song.<\/p>\n

She sang The Way We Were, her hit song from a 1970s film of the same name that she starred in with Robert. It was the second time she has sung the song at the Oscars. Thirteen years ago, she performed the same track to honour its late composer, Marvin Hamlisch, as part of the ceremony\u2019s In Memoriam segment.<\/p>\n
