And he\u2019s even shared the exact prompts he uses for productivity.<\/p>\n<p>Nadella\u2019s secret prompts that \u201csupercharge\u201d his workflow<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pulse\/5-prompts-supercharge-your-everyday-workflow-satya-nadella-ryv5c\/?trackingId=XvSQKMfxlvhSvlbCnUDzlw%3D%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pulse\/5-prompts-supercharge-your-everyday-workflow-satya-nadella-ryv5c\/?trackingId=XvSQKMfxlvhSvlbCnUDzlw%3D%3D\" class=\"sc-4f49155c-0 hLtviE\">LinkedIn post<\/a>, Nadella said AI\u2019s recent developments have added a \u201cnew layer of intelligence\u201d across all his apps.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here are the five prompts he said can \u201csupercharge your everyday workflow\u201d:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cBased on my prior interactions with [\/person], give me 5 things likely top of mind for our next meeting.\u201d\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>\u201cDraft a project update based on emails, chats, and all meetings in [\/series]: KPIs vs. targets, wins\/losses, risks, competitive moves, plus likely tough questions and answers.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cAre we on track for the [Product] launch in November? Check eng progress, pilot program results, risks. Give me a probability.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cReview my calendar and email from the last month and create 5 to 7 buckets for projects I spend most time on, with % of time spent and short descriptions.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cReview [\/select email] + prep me for the next meeting in [\/series], based on past manager and team discussions.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fortune reached out to Nadella for comment.<\/p>\n<p>How other top CEOs are using AI<\/p>\n<p>AI has become part of the daily routine of many top business executives, especially in the world of tech. Nvidia\u2019s Jensen Huang <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/nvidia-hardware-is-eating-the-world-jensen-huang\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/nvidia-hardware-is-eating-the-world-jensen-huang\/\" class=\"sc-4f49155c-0 hLtviE\">said<\/a> he\u2019s an active user of both Perplexity and ChatGPT, using it primarily as a learning and research tool.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI use [AI] as a tutor every day,\u201d Huang <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/nvidia-ceo-jensen-huang-ai-tutor-every-day-milken-2025-5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/nvidia-ceo-jensen-huang-ai-tutor-every-day-milken-2025-5\" class=\"sc-4f49155c-0 hLtviE\">said<\/a> at the Milken Institute Global Conference earlier this year. \u201cIn areas that are fairly new to me, I might say, \u2018Start by explaining it to me like I\u2019m a 12-year-old,\u2019 and then work your way up into a doctorate-level over time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And while OpenAI CEO Sam Altman remains someone that <a href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/2025\/07\/24\/billionaire-open-ai-ceo-sam-altman-takes-phyiscal-notes-pen-paper-clear-thinking-like-bill-gates-richard-branson\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/fortune.com\/2025\/07\/24\/billionaire-open-ai-ceo-sam-altman-takes-phyiscal-notes-pen-paper-clear-thinking-like-bill-gates-richard-branson\/\" class=\"sc-4f49155c-0 hLtviE\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">leans on pen and paper<\/a> at times, he remains an active user of his own generative AI chatbot, ChatGPT, to help with tasks like processing emails and summarizing documents. It\u2019s also been a gamechanger for him learning how to be a father.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClearly, people have been able to take care of babies without ChatGPT for a long time,\u201d Altman said on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DB9mjd-65gw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DB9mjd-65gw\" class=\"sc-4f49155c-0 hLtviE\">OpenAI podcast<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t know how I would have done that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>How to be the best AI prompter<\/p>\n<p>While the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/emollick\/recent-activity\/all\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/emollick\/recent-activity\/all\/\" class=\"sc-4f49155c-0 hLtviE\">exact wording of prompts have become less important<\/a> in recent months thanks to the more advanced intelligence of LLMs, there still remain many <a href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/2025\/05\/06\/ai-prompt-tips-according-to-anthropic-experts-more-successful-at-work\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/fortune.com\/2025\/05\/06\/ai-prompt-tips-according-to-anthropic-experts-more-successful-at-work\/\" class=\"sc-4f49155c-0 hLtviE\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">best practices<\/a> that can yield better results than others. According to Anthropic, the company behind Claude, it all starts with being an effective communicator through what it calls the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.anthropic.com\/en\/docs\/build-with-claude\/prompt-engineering\/be-clear-and-direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-label=\"Go to https:\/\/docs.anthropic.com\/en\/docs\/build-with-claude\/prompt-engineering\/be-clear-and-direct\" class=\"sc-4f49155c-0 hLtviE\">golden rule of clear prompting<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShow your prompt to a colleague, ideally someone who has minimal context on the task, and ask them to follow the instructions,\u201d Anthropic\u2019s website says. \u201cIf they\u2019re confused, Claude will likely be too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But just like a conversation with a human, interacting with AI will require adaptation. If it doesn\u2019t generate what you want the first time, clarify what you were looking for or be more specific.
