Sparks<\/a> released an album earlier this year called Mad!<\/a>, and they\u2019ve now announced its companion EP: Madder!<\/a> is out October 3 via Transgressive<\/a>. Below, listen to the EP\u2019s first song, \u201cPorcupine<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNot wanting the Mad!ness to end and buoyed by the phenomenal reaction to Mad!, we made a hasty but intense retreat to the studio to record a Sparks first: an EP,\u201d Sparks\u2019 Ron and Russell Mael said in a statement. \u201cMadder!, a four-song companion piece to the album, is for everyone who isn\u2019t yet Mad! enough. We hope these new songs will take you to an even Madder! place.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later this week, Sparks begin the North American leg of their tour<\/a> in support of Mad! The kickoff show is in Atlanta on September 5, and the tour ends on September 30 in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
