The boutique fitness brand is a key Hyrox partner, but it will also now hold its own fitness event: Peak500, a 30-minute competition affiliated with Red Bull <\/p>\n
Hybrid events are only growing, with boutique fitness powerhouse F45 Training getting in on the action with the launch of its own competition.<\/p>\n
While the brand is already an official training partner of Hyrox<\/a>, the move expands F45\u2019s integration with the hybrid fitness community and draws in participants to its own branded event, which features Red Bull as a global partner.<\/p>\n Peak500<\/a>, F45\u2019s 30-minute hybrid, standardized performance competition, launches later this month and includes:<\/p>\n The five stations include the bike erg, ski erg, row erg, devil\u2019s press and a combined round of shuttle runs\/barbell thrusters. <\/p>\n At the end of each five-minute station, members record their total reps or calories in the F45 Training App. The maximum score per station is 100 points \u2014 once a member hits 100 points at a station, they stop and record the remaining time.\u00a0<\/p>\n Members who reach 100 points at all five stations will have their combined remaining time added to their total score, with the goal being to achieve the highest score possible.<\/p>\n The competition highlights F45\u2019s signature team-based training environment, with coaches providing guidance as members draw on the communal energy and accountability to power through the exercises.<\/p>\n \u201cF45 Peak500 brings the energy of a true fitness event into the F45 studio,\u201d said Tom Dowd, the CEO of F45 parent company FIT House of Brands. \u201cIt\u2019s a chance for people to push their limits, set new benchmarks, and feed off the momentum of a high-energy community environment.\u201d<\/p>\n Leading up to the event on Saturday, March 28 \u2014 when global leaderboard rankings will be live \u2014 Peak500 will be available in optional workouts to give F45 coaches and members time to practice and strategize.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWe see this as the beginning of something bigger \u2014 a platform that can grow into larger fitness events both inside and outside the studio,\u201d Dowd added. \u201cOur vision is for F45 Peak500 to become a key global fitness calendar event that athletes and fitness enthusiasts train for and show up to test themselves across the F45 network and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n Fitness competitions are popping up everywhere, and it\u2019s not just Hyrox. The UK-based and Adidas-sponsored ATHX is about to bring its first event to the U.S.<\/a>, with a Miami Beach invitational March 21-22.<\/p>\n\n
