{"id":390683,"date":"2026-03-18T02:35:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-18T02:35:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/390683\/"},"modified":"2026-03-18T02:35:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T02:35:09","slug":"australia-post-reveals-mandurah-residents-receive-highest-volumes-of-parcels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/390683\/","title":{"rendered":"Australia Post reveals Mandurah residents receive highest volumes of parcels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aiir-c-news-figure__image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/5f4606df389d9.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><br \/>\n                                    PIC: Australia Post<\/p>\n<p class=\"aiir-c-news-article__abstract\">\n            Mandurah locals receive the highest volume of parcels in the state.\n        <\/p>\n<p>New data from Australia Post has revealed the Peel region city received more parcels than any other suburb in 2025, followed by Success and Wanneroo.<\/p>\n<p>Pinjarra, Maragret River, and West Busselton were the fastest growing suburbs for online shopping. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The annual <a href=\"https:\/\/auspost.com.au\/content\/dam\/auspost_corp\/media\/documents\/australia-post-ecommerce-report-2026.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">eCommerce report<\/a> also revealed Western Australian&#8217;s spent $9.14 billion online last year, up 18 per cent on the previous year\u00a0\u2014\u00a0the strongest growth of any state or territory.<\/p>\n<p>West Australian millennials are the biggest online shoppers spending $3.46 billion, followed by Gen X ($2.57 billion) and Gen Z ($1.55 billion).<\/p>\n<p>Despite 9.8 million Australian households shopping online last year, their individual basket sizes continue to shrink due to cost-of-living pressures.<\/p>\n<p>The average\u00a0basket size is now $96, down $10 from five years ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Australia Post Executive General Manager Parcel, Post &amp; eCommerce Services, Gary Starr said\u00a0despite smaller baskets, overall spend continues to climb which is largely driven by an increase in\u00a0purchase frequency. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn average, Australians purchased from 16 different online brands last year, a figure that has been\u00a0growing for the past decade. As they shop more online, it\u2019s how they shop that\u2019s continuing to evolve,&#8221; Mr Starr said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Australians are shopping smarter, they\u2019re comparing more brands, buying more frequently and\u00a0expecting a seamless experience from checkout through to delivery.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Australians spent the most on Online Marketplaces ($18.9 billion), Fashion and Apparel ($11.6 billion)\u00a0and Home and Garden ($11.4 billion).<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"PIC: Australia Post Mandurah locals receive the highest volume of parcels in the state.
