In a new interview with Bloody-Disgusting<\/a>, Forbidden Fruits director Meredith Alloway discussed adding \u201cmemorable kills\u201d to the original play by Lily Houghton its based on.<\/p>\n There were no deaths in the play. I think the highest stakes are that the girls working at the store, basically, one of them steals a baby pink thong, and it starts a mutiny. It\u2019s hilarious. It\u2019s hilarious.<\/p>\n When I read Lily Houghton\u2019s play, Of the Women Came the Beginning of Sin and Through Her We All Die, I got to get the whole title out, what I was drawn to, and I think you of all people will understand that we\u2019ve kind of been in a movement of horror directed by women that is revenge movies, for the most part. I love that. I think that we needed to go through that phase where I could think of so many movies that feature revenge in relation to a man. It\u2019s still in relation to a guy.<\/p>\n When I read this play, I was like, \u2018There\u2019s no relation to any men.\u2018 There\u2019s Norman in the play. I believe he\u2019s the only man in the play, and he\u2019s also a character in the film. I was like, \u2018This feels radical. This feels like something that I could spend the next couple of years of my life exploring.\u2019<\/p>\n When I met with Lily, I was like, \u2018What if we take how violent female relationships can feel, how intense, dark, and beautiful female breakups can feel, and what if we use body horror to sort of elevate it?\u2018 So that was, I think, the avenue that was the most interesting part to me.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come <\/p>\n The cast and crew of Ready Or Not 2 discuss how they achieved the film\u2019s trailblazing \u201chuman explosions\u201d in a new featurette.<\/p>\n Scary Movie 6 <\/p>\n The latest TV spot for Scary Movie 6 shares more of its Sinners parody.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Saucer Country <\/p>\n According to Deadline<\/a>, Hamzah Jamjoom and Alberto Lopez have optioned the rights to a TV series based on Paul Cornell\u2019s 2012 comic book Saucer Country at Plot Point 1 Productions. The series\u2019 concerns Arcadia Alvarado, \u201cthe Hispanic Governor of New Mexico, whose campaign for the U.S. presidency is derailed when she claims she was abducted by aliens. What begins as a political scandal quickly escalates into a high-stakes narrative of power and secrecy at the highest levels of government, blending smart science fiction with tense political drama in the tradition of The X-Files and The West Wing.\u201d<\/p>\n Hitman <\/p>\n Speaking with The Direct<\/a> at SXSW, Derek Kolstad confirmed Hulu\u2019s planned TV series based on the Hitman video game franchise is no longer moving forward.<\/p>\n It\u2019s dead in the water. No\u2026It\u2019s a little bit of a dagger in the chest. Who knows nowadays, but it\u2019s dead in the water. But, man, I love that thing, because I love that game and I love that character.
