And this is his third\u00a0time breaking this record! His latest achievement has become a source of pride for his family and an inspiration for his community.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The athlete\u2019s interest in strength training and endurance started from a young age. However, growing up in a small village in Vehari, Pakistan, even basic sport facilities were very limited. But that never discouraged him. Muhammad was determined to improve himself no matter the circumstances \u2013 so he started training at home with bodyweight, where push-ups played a key role.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThumb push-ups are one of the most difficult and rare exercises, requiring exceptional strength, balance, and mental toughness,\u201d he said. \u201cThis uniqueness is what drew me toward them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/most-thumb-push-ups1.jpg\" alt=\"Muhammad performing push-ups at his local village\" width=\"684\" height=\"450\" caption=\"false\"\/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.guinnessworldrecords.com\/news\/sports-and-fitness%20 \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Read more stories about record-breaking\u00a0athletes\u00a0in our\u00a0Sports and Fitness section.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Preparing for such a demanding attempt tested him both physically and mentally! The attempt required him to balance on his thumbs while performing push-ups, with one leg bent at a strict 90-degree angle in the air.
