While Motorola has already begun accepting applications for the Android 17 beta program, a couple of devices are still waiting to receive Android 16. Among them was the Motorola Edge 50 Neo, which has just started receiving the stable Android 16 update after over 2 months of beta testing<\/a>.<\/p>\n Motorola hasn\u2019t confirmed the rollout yet. This major upgrade comes with the firmware version W1UI36H.39-17<\/strong> and has a download size of about 2.14GB<\/strong>. It\u2019s rolling out across several European countries, including Italy, Poland, Spain, and Romania.\u00a0 Other regions, including India, should start receiving the update soon.<\/p>\n If you have an Edge 50 Neo and are still waiting for an update notification, go to Settings > System updates > Check for updates<\/strong> to check for available updates manually. Since the rollout has just begun, it may take some time to show up on your Motorola device.<\/p>\n The Edge 50 Neo<\/a> is one of the few Motorola devices that comes with a promise of five OS updates and five years of security updates from the brand. That said, there are still some useful upgrades and new features that further improve the software experience. It introduces a new notification cooldown feature that prevents you from getting annoyed when an app sends too many notifications from the same app within a short time. It does so by reducing the volume of incoming notifications for that particular app.<\/p>\n Android 16 lets you create custom models based on your needs, in addition to the existing modes, including Do Not Disturb, Bedtime, and Driving. You can also connect to a hotspot of a different device without entering the password, provided that both devices are logged in to the same Google account.
