Liverpool managed to beat Arsenal 1-0 on Sunday, enabling them to carry on their perfect Premier League start. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Reds are now sitting at the top of the Premier League<\/a> table and currently have nine points to their name. <\/p>\n

Chelsea are the team occupying second place with Enzo Maresca\u2019s men adding seven points to their tally thus far. <\/p>\n

Although Arne Slot\u2019s<\/a> men weren\u2019t at their best when facing the Gunners at Anfield<\/a>, they still managed to leave with all three points, which, in turn, ruined Arsenal\u2019s perfect start. <\/p>\n

Rio Ferdinand says that Dominik Szoboszlai reminded him of Steven Gerrard after his performance v Arsenal<\/p>\n

The main reason behind Liverpool coming away with a win on Sunday was due to the impeccable free-kick that Dominik Szoboszlai managed to score<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The strike was 32 yards away from the goal, and although we\u2019ve seen Szoboszlai<\/a> score goals like that before, nobody expected him to pull a set-piece like that off at such a crucial time. <\/p>\n

And, while reacting to the result of the game live on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand was full of praise for the Hungary international. <\/p>\n

\u201cThese games are often decided by one moment of brilliance, and Szoboszlai steps up and it\u2019s an absolutely ridiculous free-kick,\u201d Ferdinand said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWearing the number eight shirt, there was a number eight, [in the] years gone by who was scoring goals like that on a regular basis and that was Steven Gerrard.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe would have been proud of that one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Liverpool have a lot of pressure to live up to this season<\/p>\n

Now that the transfer window is finally closed, Liverpool can focus on gelling their first-team squad<\/a> together. <\/p>\n

Although their second-half performance against Arsenal showed glimmers of the team they could potentially be, there are still a lot of improvements that can be made across the board. <\/p>\n

Indeed, we finally saw the best of Florian Wirtz<\/a> during the second half against Arsenal, and if Liverpool get that version of him from now on, they should be more than fine. <\/p>\n

To add even more firepower to their ranks, Alexander Isak has been brought to Anfield in a deal worth around \u00a3125million<\/a> and will likely be leading Slot\u2019s attacking line for years to come. <\/p>\n

However, since the Reds have now spent over \u00a3400million on improving their ranks, it\u2019s clear that there\u2019s a lot of added pressure upon their shoulders. <\/p>\n
