\u201cI\u2019M GOING nowhere,\u201d declared well-known Adare boutique owner Annette Mann to Limerick<\/a> Live.<\/p>\n

There was concern in the fashion and business communities after the building, that is home to Annette\u2019s of Adare, was advertised for sale last week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The sign above the door saying Annette\u2019s has since been blocked out in a photograph accompanying the online advert.<\/p>\n

When contacted by the Limerick Leader, Ms Mann said her business on Adare’s Main Street is not up for sale or closing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not selling. I\u2019m 50 years in business. I\u2019m not ready to retire. They\u2019re selling the building. I\u2019m going nowhere – I love every day I’m working,\u201d said Ms Mann.<\/p>\n

The Abbeyfeale entrepreneur said she opened her boutique in Adare 10 years ago and before that ran a fashion store in her hometown for 40 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had the two shops going for three years pre-Covid and I had to make up my mind which was I doing – it was too much to have two shops at this age in my life.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love Adare. I love my women, they\u2019re my friends and I look forward to welcoming customers for many years to come,\u201d said Ms Mann.<\/p>\n

The selling agents, in the advertisement, say they are delighted to offer this \u201cexcellent development opportunity to the open market for sale\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The asking price is \u20ac1.2m.<\/p>\n

They say planning permission has been granted to convert the existing living accommodation into two self contained A rated apartments.<\/p>\n

According to the auctioneer, a retail unit, which fronts onto the main street, commands \u201ca large footfall and attractive return\u201d.<\/p>\n

They say further potential lies to the rear of the property with a large three-storey stone building with feasibility to be converted into three additional apartments subject to planning permission.<\/p>\n
