{"id":3944,"date":"2025-08-17T03:04:19","date_gmt":"2025-08-17T03:04:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/3944\/"},"modified":"2025-08-17T03:04:19","modified_gmt":"2025-08-17T03:04:19","slug":"kerry-produced-10-6-of-irelands-wind-power-last-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/3944\/","title":{"rendered":"Kerry produced 10.6% of Ireland&#8217;s wind power last month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kerry generated the second highest amount of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/news\/wind-farms-in-kerry-produced-more-electricity-than-any-other-county-443129\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">wind energy<\/a> in the country last month.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s according to figures from <a href=\"https:\/\/windenergyireland.com\/blog\/third-best-july-on-record-for-irish-wind-farms-1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wind Energy Ireland<\/a> (WEI), which published its monthly wind energy report today.<\/p>\n<p>The Kingdom produced over 10.6% of the country&#8217;s wind energy, just behind Cork at 10.8%.<\/p>\n<p>Eighty-fourgigawatt-hours (GWh) of energy were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/news\/kerry-td-says-delays-in-wind-energy-guidelines-are-unacceptable-438930\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">generated in Kerry<\/a>, compared to 85 GWh in Cork<\/p>\n<p>Wind farms provided 24 per cent of the country\u2019s electricity last month, totalling 786 gigawatt-hours, slightly up from June&#8217;s figures.<\/p>\n<p>The report also stated that wind energy has generated almost a third (31%) of Ireland\u2019s electricity in the first seven months of this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Kerry generated the second highest amount of wind energy in the country last month.
