During this journey, the mum dropped an impressive 1.7st (11.3kg) of body fat \u2013 and this is exactly how she achieved it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">When she first began training, Ritika admitted she had &#8220;lost confidence&#8221; in herself and &#8220;didn&#8217;t know what type of exercises&#8221; were appropriate for her situation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Beyond that, she acknowledged her &#8221; <a aria-label=\"dietLink opens in a new tab.\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/diet\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_blank\">diet<\/a> was all over the place&#8221; \u2013 severely limiting calories throughout the week only to gorge on takeaways come the weekend because she felt &#8220;perpetually hungry&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;I had been programmed to believe that fats and carbs were the enemy, so would cut them out for four to five days&#8230; I had no real structure or nutritional knowledge,&#8221; Ritika previously told <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/life-style\/diets\/2183964\/new-mum-weight-loss-tips\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">She continued: &#8220;When I saw that a female celebrity on social media had completed a transformation after giving birth it made me believe that it might be possible for me, too, with a bit of help.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Twelve weeks following a Caesarean delivery, Ritika got the green light from doctors to begin her fitness regime. &#8220;I was aware that my body had undergone massive abdominal surgery, so there were certain exercises that scared me,&#8221; Ritika shared, but her <a aria-label=\"personal trainerLink opens in a new tab.\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/personal-trainer\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_blank\">personal trainer<\/a>, Marianne, reassured her that everything would be fine with the proper form.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Ritika Langer working out.\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/0_Ritika-Langer-working-out.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p aria-label=\"Ritika with her Ultimate Performance trainer Marianne\" class=\"ImageCaption_caption-title__ccyQU\" data-testid=\"caption-title\">Ritika with her Ultimate Performance trainer Marianne(Image: Ritika Langer, Ultimate Performance)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Ritika explained: &#8220;The correct technique [&#8230;] will strengthen rather than damage your body; picking up heavy weights doesn&#8217;t intimidate me anymore and that&#8217;s a great feeling.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;Marianne built me a bespoke plan to build my strength up gradually. I have more energy for work and for my family which is the most important thing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;I also do feel my overall posture has improved,&#8221; she added. &#8220;I am the strongest I have ever been and am very proud of being a fit mother. I feel like a completely different person.
