Last week\u2019s release of Louis Theroux\u2019s latest documentary has sparked a wide number of conversations after highlighting various themes and subjects.<\/p>\n

And one of those in particular was the behaviour displayed by Myron Gaines<\/a>, real name Amrou Fudl.<\/p>\n

Arguably one of the most controversial influencers featured in the doc<\/a>, the 36-year-old is known in the \u2018manosphere\u2019 for his podcast, Fresh and Fit. During episodes of this, he and others share very offensive views towards women, Jewish people, the LGBTQIA+<\/a> community and more.<\/p>\n

In Louis Theroux<\/a>: Inside the Manosphere, we got to see a recording take place as well as a brief introduction with his then-girlfriend, \u2018Angie\u2019<\/a> (Angelica Camacho).<\/p>\n

This proved to be a major moment in the Netflix<\/a> feature, with Theroux concerned he had upset her as she soon stopped appearing. And she has now spoken out against it.<\/p>\n

During the documentary, the journalist asks her about the \u2018one-way monogamy<\/a>\u2019 her then-partner boasts of and at the end, it was reflected that Angie and Myron had broken up. He has since claimed this was because she wanted to start a family, and that he ‘can’t give that to her right now’.<\/p>\n

He also said Angie ‘was a good girlfriend’ and that he had ‘nothing bad to say about her’, adding: “Honestly this s**t is on me though.”<\/p>\n

Providing an update, she now says she can \u2018see a future with somebody\u2019 but is \u2018thankful for all the experiences\u2019 she has lived.<\/p>\n

However, speaking out on the documentary for the first time, Angie explains she has a lot of messages from those who are concerned about her well-being.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to leave the past in the past,\u201d she says in a new TikTok<\/a>, before going on to address a \u2018few things\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, I never wanted to be part of any documentary whatsoever – I was never told or asked to be in a documentary until the moment of,\u201d she claims.<\/p>\n

Angie does make it clear that she had signed official documents to appear, though we are not aware of the conditions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was stupid enough to not read a contract before signing it and that’s how I ended up in that documentary,\u201d she continues with her claims.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, I did beg the producers on email thousands of times to take me out of the documentary, but that didn’t happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having \u2018never wanted to be part\u2019 of the doc, Angie says she\u2019s \u2018already been through a lot\u2019, has had therapy and a \u2018zillion\u2019 pep talks from friends and family.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know everybody has an opinion, I know everybody has something to say, but this is my life and honestly, as of right now, I couldn’t be more grateful for it,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so blessed and I am so thankful to say that I am in a new relationship where I don’t have to worry about any of this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Angie has since met an \u2018amazing\u2019 partner who cares for her and makes her feel special and happy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can finally say that I can see a future with somebody, and I’m so grateful that he can see a future with me,\u201d she adds. \u201cI’m sorry to disappoint you, but I never cheated on anybody.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat doesn’t really align with values. I know you’d have loved me too, but that never happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also makes it clear she doesn\u2019t \u2018want the past to get into this\u2019, adding how she is \u2018so happy\u2019 and wouldn\u2019t be who she is now without her experiences.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe in who I am and who my parents raised. I’m so thankful for every lesson. So thank you for everything. It is what it is,\u201d Angie adds, explaining she will be posting more on TikTok and wants this to be left behind.<\/p>\n

TikTok users have praised her as ‘brave’ as they are ‘so happy’ for her, as one comment (liked by Angie) reads: “Hearing that you left that man was honestly the best part of the documentary girl.”<\/p>\n
