\n\tABC<\/a>, in crisis mode after yanking \u201cThe Bachelorette\u201d Season 22 premiere from its schedule<\/a> amid domestic violence investigations involving star Taylor Frankie Paul<\/a>, moved quickly to delete as much promotional material for the show as it could from its own website.<\/p>\n

\n\tWithin hours of ABC\u2019s announcement, the network had removed the Season 22 trailer (captioned \u201cDare we say\u2026 the most dramatic season of \u2018The Bachelorette<\/a>\u2019 yet?\u201d); Paul\u2019s bio and the rest of cast list; and an article plugging \u201cThe Bachelorette: Before the First Rose\u201d special preview episode that aired on ABC after the Oscars on March 15. (For now, that episode is still available on abc.com and Hulu; it\u2019s set to expire on Monday, March 23, according to the info on Hulu.)<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, as of this writing, the show\u2019s trailer and dozens of other video clips and photos remained live on internet platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn YouTube, the Bachelor Nation on ABC channel has a playlist of 33 videos, including the trailer (with more than 1.1 million views). The Bachelorette account on TikTok also still features videos promoting Season 22.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Instagram and Facebook, ABC\u2019s official accounts for \u201cThe Bachelorette\u201d on Thursday reminded fans that Season 22 was scheduled to premiere on March 22. \u201cAttention, Bachelor Nation: #TheBachelorette is now on Sundays! Don\u2019t miss the season premiere this Sunday on ABC. Stream on Hulu!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThose posts went live at 11 a.m. Eastern, just under five hours before ABC said it would no longer premiere \u201cThe Bachelorette\u201d S22 on Sunday<\/a>. As of Friday morning, the tune-in posts were still active, along with dozens of photos and video clips for Season 22.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWell this didn\u2019t age well,\u201d one Instagram commenter said on the latest post \u2014 while former \u201cBachelorette\u201d contestant Adam Gottschalk (who also appeared on \u201cBachelor in Paradise\u201d) remarked, \u201cIt\u2019s not too late to delete \ud83d\ude2c\ud83d\ude2c\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLater on Thursday, Instagram had added a \u201ccommunity note\u201d to the above post, which was contributed by a user, citing the statement<\/a> from a Disney Entertainment Television about the show: \u201cIn light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of \u2018The Bachelorette\u2019 at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.\u201d That was a reference to a 2023 video of the incident published by TMZ<\/a> that showed Paul seemingly attacking her ex, Dakota Mortensen, throwing multiple chairs at him.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe abrupt suspension of \u201cThe Bachelorette\u201d flared up just as Disney\u2019s brand-new leadership team \u2014 led by CEO Josh D\u2019Amaro<\/a> and Dana Walden, newly elevated to the role of president and chief creative officer \u2014 officially took over on Wednesday. It\u2019s also a headache for Debra OConnell, the longtime Disney exec whom Walden just promoted to newly created role of chairman of Disney Entertainment Television<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tVariety reported that ABC stands to lose tens of millions of dollars<\/a> if Season 22 doesn\u2019t air, as the studio behind the reality TV franchise \u2014 Warner Bros. Unscripted TV \u2014 gets paid licensing fees regardless of whether the show gets released.<\/p>\n
