According to Hindustan Times, Karan Johar dismissed ongoing rumours linking \u2018K3G 2\u2019 to a reworked version of \u2018Takht.\u2019 He said, \u201cThere is no Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham 2 and there is no derivative of Takht being made.\u201d The filmmaker explained why he has no interest in revisiting the iconic film. <\/p>\n

Karan Johar hints at next project and future of \u2018Takht\u2019<\/p>\n

Karan Johar also addressed the future of \u2018Takht,\u2019 which was announced in 2020 but later shelved. He said, \u201cAnd there isn\u2019t a revival of Takht as of now on the cards, but that is a film I will definitely make while I can breathe and stand.\u201d He credited writer Sumit Roy<\/a> for the script and called it his strongest work.\u201cI consider it the strongest screenplay developed with Sumit Roy, full credit to him. He is the writer of the film, and I believe it is the best piece of work in my career, and I hope to make that film one day.\u201dThe director also hinted at a new project that has not been discussed publicly.
