To whet your appetite, we\u2019ve got a new Sherlock-esque detective drama from Netflix in the form of Jo Nesb\u00f8’s Detective Hole, a mystery series the whole family will love (thanks, Crookhaven) and one of ITV\u2019s best crime dramas (that\u2019s you, Grace<\/a>) is making a highly-anticipated comeback. So, remotes at the ready, as these are the 7 excellent shows to watch on Netflix, ITV, the BBC and more this week.<\/p>\n

Crookhaven\"a<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not often we get a show the whole family can enjoy together, but this new mystery series created by Death in Paradise<\/a> writer Justin Young will do nicely. The drama is based on J.J. Arcanjo\u2019s hit book series, which has sold globally in 16 languages across the world, and takes us to Crookhaven School, where high achieving young crooks are secretly selected to hone their skills in disciplines such as Deception, Crimnastics, Forgery and Infiltration. The overall mission? To use their skills for greater good. Arriving at 3.05pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer<\/a> on Sunday 22nd March.<\/p>\n

Miss Scarlet\"miss<\/p>\n

Trialblazing sleuth Eliza Scarlet (Kate Phillips) is back for a sixth series and it\u2019s shaping up to be her most thrilling chapter yet. When we last saw her, life for Eliza Scarlet was anything but straightforward. A new Detective Inspector, DI Alexander Blake (Tom Durant-Pritchard), had taken charge at Scotland Yard – and he wasn\u2019t exactly eager to call on her investigative talents. But, in true Eliza fashion, she soon proved herself indispensable. Now, a new detective is settling in at Scotland Yard and the charming yet roguish Patrick Nash (Felix Scott) is causing chaos from across the globe. Series six is arriving at 9pm on U&Alibi<\/a> on Tuesday 24th March. <\/p>\n

This new Prime Video series has been created, written and produced by its main star Riz Ahmed, marking the first time he’s appeared in a TV series since 2017 crime drama, The Night Of. Shah Latif (Ahmed) is an actor who, it’s fair to say, is far from setting the world alight in his career. Until, that is, he finds himself on the verge of landing a role of a lifetime that would change his fortunes overnight. Rather than brace himself for international stardom, however, Shah plunges headfirst into a full blown existential crisis that plays out over four frenetic days. Arriving on Prime Video<\/a> on Wednesday 25th March.<\/p>\n

Detective drama fans are in for a treat with Netflix\u2019s latest page to screen adaptation. Adapted from Norwegian author Jo Nesb\u00f8\u2019s bestselling Harry Hole book series that\u2019s often compared to classics Sherlock Holmes<\/a> and Poirot<\/a>, the series follows talented but troubled homicide detective Harry Hole (Tobias Santelmann), who’s on the hunt for a serial killer. On top of that, he’s also trying to put a stop to the antics of his corrupt colleague, detective Tom Waaler (Joel Kinnaman). The question is: can he bring both the serial killer and detective Waaler to justice? Arriving on Netflix<\/a> on Thursday 26th March. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s back to the fictional Devon town of Shipton Abbott, where DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) is once again doing what he does best – solving some of the most baffling and quirkiest crimes around. And he\u2019s far from alone, as series four sees the likes of Sherwood\u2019s Andrea Lowe, Downton Abbey\u2019s Rachel Cassidy, and Happy Valley\u2019s Rina Mahoney join the cast of guest stars. This time round, DI Humphrey is investigating the death of a novelist who predicted their demise, adjusting to married life with Martha (Sally Bretton) and wrestling with an impossible decision. Series four is arriving at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer<\/a> on Friday 27th March.<\/p>\n

For All Mankind\"for<\/p>\n

Apple<\/p>\n

Apple TV\u2019s acclaimed space race drama, which depicts what would have happened if the global space race had never ended, is entering its fifth series. If you don\u2019t know the story, in this new reality, the Soviet Union has beat the US to the first crewed Moon landing, changing the course of history in the process. Series five picks up in 2012, post-Goldilocks asteroid heist, which saw Ed Baldwin (Joel Kinnaman) and Dev Ayesa (Edi Gathegi) secure the future of the Mars colony. Now, the core conflict is between the residents of Mars, who want independence, and Earth’s M7 nations, who want control of the resources. Series five is arriving on Apple TV<\/a> on Friday 27th March. <\/p>\n

Grace\"from<\/p>\n

One of ITV\u2019s best crime dramas is returning as John Simm steps back into the shoes of Brighton-based Detective Superintendent Roy Grace, the tenacious detective haunted by the disappearance of his wife, Sandy. The new series will consist of four more standalone episodes based on Peter James\u2019 bestselling novels, picking up following the revelation that Grace’s boss and nemesis Assistant Chief Constable Cassian Pewe (Sam Hoare) was a corrupt cop who had been having an affair with Sandy. It was dramatic to say the least and series six is set to bring even more explosive revelations.Series six is arriving at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX<\/a> on Sunday 29th March.
