Colin Farrell has offered an update on how much of Oz Cobb\/The Penguin we should expect to see in The Batman Part II.<\/p>\n

Farrell spoke with Deadline<\/a> at the Telluride Film Festival in support of his new film The Ballad of a Small Player. The conversation inevitably turned to his continuing role as the Penguin across Matt Reeves\u2019 Batman Epic Crime Saga. Next up he will begin filming The Batman Part II in April 2026, but it doesn\u2019t appear he will be in much. \u201cI haven\u2019t got much to do on it, just a little bit. I read the script and it\u2019s extraordinary,\u201d said the actor.<\/p>\n

As for if he\u2019s up for a second season of The Penguin, he\u2019s not super anxious to revisit that project. \u201cI have no idea if it\u2019s happening. I know that I heard rumblings that they were thinking they\u2019d like to do a second season, but I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s a good idea. I don\u2019t know the way you go back to the trough \u2026 And part of me wants to go, \u2018Just let it go people. We got away with it. Leave it as it is.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on to add, \u201cBut, look, if they came up with a fantastic idea or something like that, of course I\u2019d be open to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

It seems unlikely we\u2019ll be seeing another season of The Penguin, but it doesn\u2019t look like the book is completely closed as of yet.<\/p>\n

The Batman Part II is scheduled to hit theaters on Oct. 1, 2027.<\/p>\n
