New accounts filed by Nespresso UK Ltd show in the first 12 months of Beckham endorsing Nespresso products, revenues at its Irish unit fell from a record \u00a332.5m in 2023 to \u00a330.86m last year.<\/p>\n

In November 2023, Nespresso signed up the former Manchester United player as one of its brand ambassadors.<\/p>\n

Nespresso UK & Ireland CEO Anna Lundstrom said at the time that Beckham \u201chas always had an unforgettable style, taste and passion for creating elevated experiences which are many of the qualities of Nespresso\u201d.<\/p>\n

In contrast, revenues at the UK branch increased from \u00a3306.12m to \u00a3309.9m.<\/p>\n

Nestle-owned Nespresso operates a number of boutique outlets here, including a flagship store on Dublin\u2019s Duke Street. The Irish business last year had average weekly revenues of \u20ac682,500.<\/p>\n

The directors state that in 2024, Nespresso UK Ltd had an average of 499 employees, down from 716 in 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo adapt to changing shopping preferences for immersive brand experiences, we streamlined our operations, resulting in the closure of 11 boutique locations and impacting 148 roles within the UK and RoI (Republic of Ireland) business,\u201d the directors state.<\/p>\n

Overall sales across the UK and Irish arm last year increased by 1pc from \u00a3338.64m to \u00a3340.77m.<\/p>\n

The directors state that the increase in revenues was \u201cdriven by the ongoing success of the Vertuo system\u201d in its business-to-consumer division, coupled with \u201cvery strong growth\u201d in its business-to-business division.<\/p>\n

As a result of the increase in \u00adrevenues, pre-tax profits rose by 7pc to \u00a315.02m.<\/p>\n

The company recorded a post-tax profit of \u00a311.06m after incurring a corporation tax charge of \u00a33.96m.<\/p>\n

The firm last year paid out \u00a310.28m in dividends. This followed a dividend pay out of \u00a310.99m in 2023.<\/p>\n

Underlining the growth of Nespresso here over recent years, sales last year of \u00a330.86m were more than double sales of \u00a314.7m in 2016.<\/p>\n

The Irish revenues of \u00a330.86m make up almost 9pc of the overall UK and Irish revenues of \u00a3340.77m.<\/p>\n

The profit takes account of non-cash depreciation costs of \u00a36.2m and non-cash amortisation costs of \u00a31.73m.<\/p>\n
