Compared with 2024, <a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/statistics-explained\/index.php?title=Glossary:Import&amp;oldid=11320\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">imports <\/a>decreased both in value (-11.1%) and in net mass (-0.6%).<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">Imports of energy products have been decreasing in value and volume since 2022: value has dropped by 51.4 % from \u20ac693.4 billion, and volume decreased by 14.9% from 849.6 million tonnes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">For petroleum, compared with 2024, a decline was reported in both the value of imported petroleum oils (-17.8%) and the volume of imports (-6.1%). On the other hand, imported liquefied gas recorded a strong increase both in value (+35.2%) and volume (+24.4%).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">When it comes to natural gas in the gaseous state, the import value increased by 3.4%, while volume was down by 5.3%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/documents\/d\/products-eurostat-news\/extra-eu-imports-energy-products-2015-2025\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Extra-EU imports of energy products, 2015-2025 (value and volume). bar charts.
