The Kardashian brand is so strong it seems like nothing can stop it, but at one point, Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian worried she was going to do some damage.<\/p>\n
The 41-year-old reality star and her former husband, Lamar Odom, had their own E! reality show, a spin-off from \u201cKeeping Up with the Kardashians\u201d between 2011 and 2012, titled \u201cKhlo\u00e9 & Lamar.\u201d<\/p>\n
Speaking on an upcoming episode of the Netflix docuseries \u201cUntold: The Death and Life of Lamar Odom\u201d, Kardashian said, “Lamar loves a camera…\u2019Khlo\u00e9 and Lamar\u2019 was not my idea. \u2018Khlo\u00e9 and Lamar\u2019 was led very much by Lamar.\u201d<\/p>\n
She continued, \u201cI was spread really thin. I also didn\u2019t really want it to jeopardize the family brand, which was \u2018Keeping Up\u2019 at the time. I thought there were so many Kardashian shows.\u201d<\/p>\n
At the time, there had been two other spin-off series, \u201cKourtney and Khlo\u00e9 Take Miami\u201d and \u201cKourtney and Kim Take New York.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kardashian said she, \u201creminded him about his main career, the Lakers,\u201d but he admitted he wasn’t worried about attracting attention for something more than his sporting career.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe winded up having our own show, and it came on Sunday, which was right after the Laker game. I was on TV twice every Sunday…\u201d he said during the documentary.<\/p>\n
He continued that the attention on the Kardashians was part of the appeal of marrying her, saying, \u201cWell, part of the deal was that, \u2018If I\u2018m gonna marry you, f*** it. I want in too.\u2019 …I\u2019m already Lamar Odom, and I\u2019m just watching how she lives and their lifestyle. I\u2019m like, \u2018I know this is where I wanna be.\u2019 Like, \u2018This is how I wanna live.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n
He said it felt like a “power trip” and pushed to combine “Laker power” with “Kardashian power”.<\/p>\n
However, he noted he \u201cwasn\u2019t really ready for all that power.”<\/p>\n
The former couple married in 2009 just weeks after meeting, and Kardashian – who went on to have True, seven, and three-year-old Tatum with now ex-partner Tristan Thompson – previously admitted Lamar will always be the love of her life, but his addictions meant their relationship wasn’t “fixable.\u201d<\/p>\n
Speaking on \u201cThe Kardashians,\u201d she explained, “Lamar was, and is, definitely someone that I was like, the love of my life. I got married when I was 24 and although him and I got married 30 days to the day after meeting one another, I loved him with all of my heart and soul. I took my vows very seriously and I was married for about seven years, but there were bigger things that were not fixable in that marriage.\u201d<\/p>\n
She continued, “I don\u2019t know if I could even put into words what I felt for Lamar. It felt like the most special, magical time of my life \u2014 the most purest love I\u2019ve ever had. And although there was so much darkness in that marriage, there was the brightest of the bright times. And I love it and I cherish it.”<\/p>\n
