The cast also includes Maisy Stella, Christian Convery and, per the end of its first trailer, at least one dinosaur.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tPer the official synopsis, \u201cAfter a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThings are kept mostly under wraps in this trailer, which spotlights the family vibe and the gnawing concern that something isn\u2019t right, alongside jarring footage of a suburban street torn asunder.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cIt Follows\u201d director David Robert Mitchell wrote and directed \u201cOak Street,\u201d with <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/j-j-abrams-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_j-j-abrams-2\" data-tag=\"j-j-abrams-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">J.J. Abrams<\/a> as a producer, alongside Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, Mitchell, Matt Jackson and Tommy Harper. Executive producers include Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Joanne Lee and Leeann Stonebreaker.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMichael Gioulakis serves as director of photography, alongside production designer Maya Shimoguchi, editor John Axelrad, composer Michael Giacchino and costume designer Erin Benach.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe film has had a long development period, which included several date changes, starting in May 2025 before jumping to March 13, 2026, and now holding firm to the August 14 date.
