Amid reports that Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are headed for divorce<\/a>, insiders are sounding the alarm about \u201cuncomfortable truths\u201d that the royal may be overlooking.<\/p>\n

As 37-year-old Beatrice and her younger sister, Eugenie<\/a>, continue to navigate the fallout from their parents\u2019 ties to Jeffrey Epstein, including dad Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor\u2019s arrest<\/a>, insiders tell the Daily Mail<\/a> there is a growing \u201cdistance\u201d between Beatrice and Edoardo.<\/p>\n

While Beatrice has been \u201cdesperate to hold things together,\u201d Edoardo is allegedly more concerned with his business and was seen gallivanting in Florida while Beatrice remained at home in the United Kingdom around the time of her dad\u2019s arrest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Insiders note that Edoardo\u2019s career, including his design and property business Banda, benefited significantly after he married Beatrice in 2020, and hint that his relationship doesn\u2019t seem to be a priority over his business. \u201cWhen they first got together, Edo wasn\u2019t nearly so successful,\u201d a former associate told the Daily Mail. \u201cBeing adjacent to royalty was transformative.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the kind of publicity money can\u2019t buy,\u201d a source said. \u201cThere were references in the likes of Vogue and Hello! to him joining the Royal Family. It didn\u2019t exactly do his business any harm, did it? Would he have got it if he wasn\u2019t her [Beatrice\u2019s] husband? Of course not.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the couple has always seemed happy, Beatrice\u2019s time of need is allegedly exposing cracks that the princess is ignoring. \u201cThings haven\u2019t been great for a while between them, but Beatrice has been determined to soldier on and forge a path through,\u201d said a source.<\/p>\n

On March 21, it was reported that Edoardo is focused on keeping Andrew and Sarah Ferguson\u2019s scandal<\/a> away from his business. \u201cHe\u2019s really worried his in-laws will affect his business. Banda has been taking off lately and he\u2019s found some great investors among the wealthy Cotswolds set, but it\u2019s taking up a lot of his time and energy. He\u2019s all about himself at the moment. You have to feel for Beatrice,\u201d that source said.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Beatrice] really wants to almost naively see the good in people and will turn a blind eye to uncomfortable truths \u2013 that is why she was blind to her father\u2019s behaviour, and the same is true of her belief in Edo,\u201d the source continued. \u201cShe wants to stay together, but he seems more and more distracted by work and travel. Edoardo and Beatrice began dating in 2018, close to the end of his relationship with fianc\u00e9e Dara Huang, with whom he shares a 9-year-old son. Beatrice wed the British-born descendant of Italian nobility after two years of dating, before welcoming two daughters born in 2021 and 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n
