\u201cOur sensuality has always come from a place of strength,\u201d says Scherzinger. \u201cBut times have changed so much, you know, now women in their 30s and 40s are single and owning it. We\u2019re setting a new standard for what it means to be a woman at any age. You don\u2019t need to be married! Club Song is literally about leaving your man at home when you go to the club.\u201d<\/p>\n

The three women shimmy their bejewelled hands in the air as they demonstrate sashaying into a club, while Roberts says: \u201cYou know, I\u2019m in my 40s, I\u2019m not married and I don\u2019t have kids, and sometimes I think, am I OK with that? Because in the back of your mind there\u2019s this structure you\u2019re supposed to have. But realising I could choose to live this way instead has been quite liberating\u201d.<\/p>\n

I ask them if they\u2019ve read the Vogue article headlined \u201cIs having a boyfriend embarrassing now?\u201d<\/a> which went viral earlier this year. They look puzzled. \u201cIf you do have a husband you can still go to the club!\u201d says Wyatt. \u201cIn fact Max would be the first person to say: \u2018I\u2019ll watch the kids \u2013 you go to the club!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Wyatt has three young children with her British husband Max Rogers, a model, whom she met in 2010. Scherzinger, who is based in New York to be close to Broadway, says Wyatt lives \u201cround the corner from my fiance\u201d \u2013 Scottish rugby union player Thom Evans, whom she met in 2019 following her breakup with F1 champion Lewis Hamilton.<\/p>\n

Roberts affectionately calls Wyatt the group\u2019s \u201cmama bear\u201d, while Scherzinger describes herself as a \u201cserious perfectionist\u201d. Roberts, both Wyatt and Scherzinger agree, \u201cbrings a young, goofy energy that we have always found very healing\u201d.<\/p>\n

All three women were in their early 20s at the height of their fame. \u201cWhen I look back at those pictures I just think, we were babies, I can barely believe it\u2019s me,\u201d marvels Roberts.
