A Bengaluru couple\u2019s precise analysis of their August spending, which totalled an astounding Rs 5,90,000, was captured in a now-viral Instagram video, sparking an array of online amazement and discussion. Prakriti and Ashish, who are known for sharing videos of their lives online, posted the video, which has received close to two million views so far.<\/p>\n

Prakriti and Ashish Arora, dubbed the \u201cTravel Couple,” posted their full August spending report on Instagram. The pair revealed that over Rs 3.5 lakh of their budget went on flights and hotel bookings for two domestic and two international travels.<\/p>\n

They paid Rs 42,000 for their flat, and the cost of exercise was nearly the same. In the video, Prakriti stated, \u201cWe both have personal trainers, and I attended Pilates classes this month, which cost us Rs 40,000.” They spent Rs 20,000 on groceries to support their exercise regimen.<\/p>\n

While electricity, OTT subscriptions, and cleaning cost Rs 10,000, ordering in and dining out cost Rs 13,000 as well. \u201cIn addition, we allocated Rs 1 lakh for SIPs, and other costs like cab fare, insurance, grooming, and gifts totalled approximately Rs 15,000,” they added.<\/p>\n

The couple explicitly stated in their caption that their different perspectives on money had caused them to have a \u201crocky start” in money management. Today, they attribute their success to open communication and regular money meetings for investment allocation, spending tracking, and the maintenance of an emergency or \u201cmystery fund.”<\/p>\n

As they explain: \u201cBecause you\u2019re not just living with your life partner, you\u2019re also building a life with them\u2026 if we can work our way around money-talk, any couple can.”<\/p>\n

Netizens were quick to react. One user joked, \u201cTheir one-month spend = our one-year income,” while another quipped, \u201cLooks like Bangalore is more expensive than London!”<\/p>\n

Others expressed direct curiosity: \u201cWhat do you guys do for a living?”<\/p>\n
