Tina Romero<\/strong>, the daughter of late horror master George A. Romero (Night of the Living Dead), makes her own mark on the zombie genre with the upcoming Queens of the Dead<\/strong>, and the official teaser poster has been unleashed this morning. Check it out down below.<\/p>\n

Here in North America,\u00a0Queens of the Dead will shamble into theaters October 24, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In Queens of the Dead, \u201ca zombie apocalypse breaks out in Brooklyn on the night of a giant warehouse party, where an eclectic group of drag queens, club kids, and frenemies must put aside their drama and use their unique skills to fight against the brain-thirsty undead.\u201d<\/p>\n

Katy O\u2019Brian<\/strong>\u00a0(Love Lies Bleeding),\u00a0Margaret Cho\u00a0<\/strong>(Fire Island),\u00a0Brigette Lundy-Paine<\/strong>\u00a0(I Saw The TV Glow) and\u00a0Cheyenne Jackson<\/strong>\u00a0(American Horror Story) star. The cast also includes\u00a0Nina West<\/strong>\u00a0(Drag Race),\u00a0Jaquel Spivey<\/strong>\u00a0(Mean Girls),\u00a0Tomas Matos<\/strong>\u00a0(Fire Island),\u00a0Quincy Dunn-Baker<\/strong>\u00a0(No Hard Feelings),\u00a0Becca Blackwell<\/strong>\u00a0(Bros),\u00a0Shaunette Ren\u00e9e Wilson<\/strong>\u00a0(Black Panther),\u00a0Dominique Jackson<\/strong>\u00a0(Pose),\u00a0Riki Lindhome<\/strong>\u00a0(Knives Out), and\u00a0Eve Lindley<\/strong>\u00a0(Bros).<\/p>\n

Shudder\u2019s Director of Acquisitions and Productions, Adam Koehler, said in a recent statement, \u201cWe\u2019re beyond thrilled to bring this wildly original vision to audiences\u2014a fearless, glam-drenched ride that\u2019s as funny as it is ferocious. With razor-sharp direction and a fierce cast, Queens of the Dead\u00a0is a thrilling new chapter in a legacy of horror royalty.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe zombie apocalypse is such a rich sandbox to play in when it comes to social commentary. I can\u2019t be my dad\u2019s daughter without making an attempt at saying something with zombies,\u201d Romero recently told\u00a0EW<\/a>. \u201cI did want this to be a film in which I am paying homage to the world and the monster he created, but I\u2019m also introducing my own voice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Romero continued, \u201cIt\u2019s very much not a film he would make, but it is using his vocabulary and is playing by his rules. As far as the queer element, on one hand, I just feel like the gays need a zombie film.\u00a0It\u2019s time that we get to have a big gay zombie movie<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n
