Easter weather warning issued for Donegal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A flood warning has been issued for Donegal over the Easter bank holiday weekend.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Met Eireann has just issued the warning which comes into affect from midnight and Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The good news is that the warning only lasts for two hours <\/p>\n<p>The warning says \u201cUnsettled and mixed over Easter with a mobile Atlantic flow affecting Ireland. Windy or possibly stormy in places later Saturday. Potential for some severe or damaging west to southwest gusts. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cCoastal flooding is likely, especially around high tide times and in exposed, low-lying locations along the Atlantic coastal counties. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHigh astronomical tides (Spring Tides) coinciding with storm surge and persistent onshore winds will further increase the risk of coastal flooding. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAreas along the west and north coasts are particularly vulnerable. Winds are Strong onshore winds combined with high waves may lead to wave overtopping and flooding in low-lying and exposed coastal areas.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>A High Tide Advisory will come into effect from Friday to Monday with warnings likely to be issued. <\/p>\n<p>Floody hell!
