Dylan Efron<\/strong><\/a> is getting support from his entire family \u2014 including brother Zac Efron<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 as he steps into the ballroom for Dancing With the Stars<\/a> season 34.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dad is super excited,\u201d Dylan, 33, exclusively told Us Weekly on Wednesday, September 3. \u201cHe has little kids, four and five. They\u2019re all super excited. My mom was honestly just shocked. She\u2019s just like, \u2018Where\u2019d this come from?\u2019 My brother is supportive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dylan explained that Zac, 37, went to a live Dancing With the Stars taping \u201ca long time ago\u201d and gushed over his experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s like, \u2018The best part is going to be those live shows.\u2019 He was saying, like, it\u2019s such a good feeling,\u201d Dylan recalled, before teasing whether the whole family would be cheering him on: \u201cWe\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDylan Efron knows his most notable title is \u201cZac Efron\u2019s younger brother\u201d \u2014 and he wears the label with honor. \u201cI love my brother. I\u2019m so proud of him,\u201d Dylan, 33, told Cosmopolitan in an interview published on Thursday, February 13. \u201cIf anything, it\u2019s helped me with my career, so I have no issue with [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

When asked whether there may be a nod to High School Musical in his dances, Dylan shut down the idea. \u201cNo,\u201d he said, while pro dancer and partner<\/a> Daniella Karagach<\/strong> noted, \u201cWe\u2019re standing our own. We\u2019re going to do our own thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Dylan and Daniella, 32, gear up to compete<\/a> for the mirrorball trophy, he quipped that Dancing With the Stars has already been a harder experience than his stint on The Traitors season 3 \u2014 which he won<\/a> alongside former Bachelorette Gabby Windey<\/strong>, The Real Housewives of New Jersey\u2019s Dolores Catania<\/strong> and Ivar Mountbatten<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is way worse, because this is the round table but I\u2019m dancing,\u201d Dylan quipped. \u201cAll I had to do is raise my hand at that one. This one\u2019s like, get up on the table and dance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dylan explained that he\u2019s \u201cnever\u201d performed in any capacity before, but he\u2019s up for the challenge.<\/p>\n

\u201cI immediately was like, \u2018No way am I gonna do that.\u2019 Those are the things that you need to reflect on and be like, \u2018I\u2019m saying no because I\u2019m scared and I\u2019m scared because this could be the best thing I\u2019ve ever done,\u2019\u201d Dylan explained. \u201cStepping out of your comfort zone in that way is the best thing to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Daniella, who previously won season 30 of Dancing With the Stars with Iman Shumpert<\/strong>, is ready to teach Dylan the basics.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never had a partner with dance experience, so that\u2019s where the fun comes in,\u201d Daniella exclusively told Us. \u201cI love watching them become dancers at the end of the process. He\u2019s just such a great guy and he has so much great energy around him with even the people who surround him. I\u2019m just excited for people to see him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dancing With the Stars premieres on ABC and Disney+ September 16 at 8 p.m. ET, with new episodes streaming the next day on Hulu.<\/p>\n
