{"id":426273,"date":"2026-04-08T15:56:14","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T15:56:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/426273\/"},"modified":"2026-04-08T15:56:14","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T15:56:14","slug":"radiohead-announce-kid-a-mnesia-touring-installation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/426273\/","title":{"rendered":"Radiohead Announce Kid A Mnesia Touring Installation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the biggest mysteries of this year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/topics\/coachella\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Coachella<\/a> lineup has finally been solved. \u201cThe Bunker Debut of <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/artists\/3512-radiohead\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Radiohead<\/a>\u2019s Kid A Mnesia\u201d is not a performance as some hopeful fans were predicting, but a new 75-minute audiovisual installation called Motion Picture House, featuring artwork by singer Thom Yorke and longtime collaborator Stanley Donwood, along with music from the band\u2019s combined 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/radiohead-kid-a-mnesia\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reissue<\/a> of Kid A and Amnesiac. You can check out a full trailer of the project below.<\/p>\n<p>The installation first launched in 2021 as a <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/radiohead-detail-virtual-kid-a-mnesia-exhibition-share-new-trailer-watch\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">virtual-only exhibit<\/a> directed by Sean Evans; the band had initially conceived of the project as a physical installation, until COVID restrictions scuttled that idea. In a statement, Yorke describes the current iteration as \u201ca Monster is trapped in a derelict museum of the lost &amp; forgotten.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At Coachella, Radiohead will debut Motion Picture House in a literal 17,000 square-foot underground bunker. Following its premiere, they will take the show on a short North American run through Brooklyn, Chicago, Mexico City, and San Francisco.
