Shemar Moore<\/a><\/strong> has returned to The Young and the Restless for another epic stint as Malcolm, the role that launched his career.<\/p>\n

The actor got his start on the CBS soap<\/a> back in 1994, which changed his life. Moore played Malcolm for nearly ten years before leaving to pursue other projects.<\/p>\n

However, he has made multiple returns to The Young and the Restless<\/a> in the past two decades despite his busy career working on shows like S.W.A.T. and Criminal Minds.<\/a><\/p>\n

Moore recently revealed that going back to the CBS<\/a> soap is like coming home. Going home, though, isn\u2019t without issues, and Moore jokingly declared he had a big one this time around on The Young and the Restless.<\/p>\n

Christel Khalil<\/a><\/strong> (Lily) shared a behind-the-scenes video of Moore\u2019s return that included the two of them filming with Bryton James <\/strong>(Devon) and Sean Dominic<\/strong> (Nate). She asked Moore how he felt about being back.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am home, baby. Blast from the past but too much motherf—ing dialogue,\u201d he declared. Khalil and Moore started cracking up as he eplained he does fewer pages in his day job on the new S.W.A.T. spin-off, S.W.A.T. Exiles<\/a>, and makes more money.<\/p>\n

There was a lot of laughter, but it wasn\u2019t the only time Moore mentioned the number of pages he had to film on The Young and the Restless<\/a> versus his other shows.<\/p>\n

Speaking withTV Insider<\/a> about his latest return, Moore mentioned the amount of dialogue as he gushed over being home again.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel humbled and honored and nostalgic. But I also have a bone to pick with Young and the Restless because all I was asked was, \u2018Would I be willing to come back for a cool little story?\u2019 And my mother raised me to always remember where you came from, but I didn\u2019t know they were gonna make me memorize 124 pages for three days of work! Even when I was Malcolm for real all those years back, I never did 124 pages!\u201d the actor expressed to the outlet.<\/p>\n

All in all, though, Moore is always thrilled to go back to The Young and the Restless<\/a>, and he hopes to keep coming back.<\/p>\n

This time around, Moore\u2019s alter ego Malcolm learns Holden (Nathan Owens<\/strong>) is his son thanks to a fling with Stephanie (Vivica A. Fox<\/a><\/strong>) back in the ’90s. Nathan gives both Fox and Moore another reason to pop back up on the CBS soap again.<\/p>\n

Moore\u2019s returns may be brief, but they are so worth it to have him and Malcolm back in the Winters family mix\u2014even if it does mean “a lot of dialogue” for the actor.<\/p>\n
