\n\tNEW BEGINNING:<\/strong> Dior<\/a> has named Mikey Madison its first brand ambassador since appointing Jonathan Anderson<\/a> as creative director of women\u2019s, men\u2019s and haute couture collections.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe nomination comes as Anderson prepares to unveil his debut women\u2019s collection<\/a> at Paris Fashion Week<\/a> on Oct. 1. The American actress joins a roster that includes Jenna Ortega, Jisoo and Anya Taylor-Joy.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMikey Madison is an incredibly talented actress. Her empathetic approach perfectly reflects the house of Dior<\/a> and I am extremely excited to work together,\u201d Anderson said in a statement shared exclusively with WWD.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tMadison wore Dior on the biggest night of her career so far: She channeled Old Hollywood<\/a> in a reproduction of a vintage Dior couture gown from 1956 at the Oscars<\/a>, where she picked up the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as an exotic dancer in Sean Baker\u2019s \u201cAnora.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHer appointment chimes with Anderson\u2019s reputation for working with talents ranging from arthouse film stars to pop culture icons.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cJonathan is inspiring to me as a designer because of how he tells stories with his collections and the playfulness and originality he injects into every collection,\u201d Madison said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m so proud and honored to be joining the house of Dior as a global ambassador at the start of this next chapter under Jonathan\u2019s creative direction,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

\n\tSince \u201cAnora\u201d scooped the Palme d\u2019Or at the Cannes Film Festival last year, Madison has collected accolades including a BAFTA and an Independent Spirit Award. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe, SAG Award and Critics\u2019 Choice Award.<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing roles in \u201cOnce Upon a Time in Hollywood\u201d and \u201cScream 5,\u201d the actress is set to appear next in \u201cThe Masque of the Red Death,\u201d a loose take on the short story by Edgar Allen Poe, directed by Charlie Polinger.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tMadison is also an ambassador for U.S. jeweler Tiffany & Co. which, like Dior, is owned by luxury conglomerate LVMH Mo\u00ebt Hennessy Louis Vuitton.<\/p>\n
