{"id":437915,"date":"2026-04-16T10:19:14","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T10:19:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/437915\/"},"modified":"2026-04-16T10:19:14","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T10:19:14","slug":"nasa-launches-six-cubesats-to-international-space-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/437915\/","title":{"rendered":"NASA Launches Six CubeSats to International Space Station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Experiments and supplies bound for the International Space Station launched on April 11 as part of the agency\u2019s Northrop Grumman Commercial Resupply Services 24 mission.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the approximately 11,000 pounds cargo that lifted off inside the company\u2019s Cygnus XL spacecraft, NASA\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/kennedy\/launch-services-program\/cubesat-launch-initiative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">CubeSat Launch Initiative<\/a> (CSLI) launched six CubeSats built by U.S. educational institutions and non-profit organizations. These CubeSats are Coconut, Harvard Undergraduate CubeSat (HUCSat), Low Earth Orbit Platform for Aerospace Research and Development Satellite 1 (LEOPARDSat-1), and three Pleiades Rapid Orbital Verification Experiment System (PROVES) CubeSats: PROVES \u2013 Alcyone, PROVES \u2013 Atlas, and PROVES \u2013 Electra.<\/p>\n<p>Each CubeSat is a small satellite that will deploy into orbit from the space station to conduct its experiments.
