But \u200calso, we will need \u2060to work with our customers to share the burden on this,&#8221; finance chief Lars Sandstr\u00f6m added in an \u2060interview with Reuters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The company reported an adjusted operating profit of 5.2 billion Swedish crowns ($566 million), excluding restructuring charges, for the first quarter of \u200b2026. Analysts \u200bpolled by Infront were expecting 5.4 \u200bbillion crowns on average.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Ericsson, one \u200cof the main Western suppliers of network equipment alongside Finland&#8217;s Nokia, is betting heavily on the U.S. market even as transatlantic ties have become strained under President Donald Trump&#8217;s rule.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The Swedish group has significant exposure to the United States, especially after winning a $14 billion deal \u200cwith operator AT&amp;T in 2023, which could \u200bhelp outweigh slower telecoms investments in \u200bother markets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Sandstr\u00f6m said sales in \u200bNorth America fell by a mid-single-digit percentage in \u200cthe quarter, compared to a strong \u200byear-ago period that \u200bwas boosted by tariff-related demand.
