Code references suggest that Pixel Glow could be used for a range of interactions\u2014from lighting up for calls from favourite contacts to offering visual cues during hands-free usage. It may also work closely with Gemini, providing light-based responses during AI interactions. This would make the experience more dynamic, with the phone visually reacting as you engage with the assistant.<\/p>\n
Interestingly, Pixel Glow seems to be positioned as an alternative to Flash Notifications introduced in Android 14. However, unlike that feature\u2014which relies on the screen or camera flash\u2014this new system appears to depend on dedicated lighting hardware. A key line in the code even states that \u201cthe device must have hardware lights,\u201d suggesting this isn\u2019t just a software tweak but something deeper.<\/p>\n
That raises an obvious question: where are these lights? Current Pixel 11 renders don\u2019t show anything beyond the usual camera flash. But since CAD-based leaks often miss internal components, it\u2019s possible that the lighting system could be integrated subtly\u2014perhaps within the camera bar or under the chassis.<\/p>\n
At this stage, several details remain unclear. It\u2019s not known whether Pixel Glow will use full RGB lighting or something more minimal, nor is it confirmed if the feature will make it to the final release.
