A 12-year-old child has suffered serious injuries following a collision<\/a> between a car and a pedestrian in Co Antrim<\/a>.<\/p>\n The collision took place on Prince William Road in Lisburn at around 3.15pm on Monday, when a child pedestrian was involved in a collision with a black Honda Civic.<\/p>\n The road was closed for a number of hours between the Ballymacash Road and Knockmore Road junctions before reopening at around 8pm, reports Belfast Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n The 12-year-old was taken to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children with injuries that are serious but not thought to be life-threatening at this time.<\/p>\n A PSNI<\/a> spokesperson said: “Police in Lisburn are appealing for dashcam footage after a child was knocked down on Prince William Road on Monday, 20th April.<\/p>\n “The collision occurred at around 3.15pm and involved a black Honda Civic.<\/p>\n “The child, aged 12, sustained serious injuries which, at this time, are thankfully not thought to be life-threatening. “The road was closed for a time but has since reopened to motorists.<\/p>\n “Anyone with relevant footage should contact police on 101, quoting reference 919 20\/04\/26.”<\/p>\n Want to see more of the stories you love from the Irish Mirror? <\/strong>Making us your preferred source on Google<\/a><\/strong> means you\u2019ll get more of our exclusives, top stories and must-read content straight away.
