{"id":44636,"date":"2025-09-05T04:44:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T04:44:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/44636\/"},"modified":"2025-09-05T04:44:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T04:44:10","slug":"michelle-dockery-reveals-she-is-pregnant-with-first-child-at-downton-abbey-premiere","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/44636\/","title":{"rendered":"Michelle Dockery reveals she is pregnant with first child at Downton Abbey premiere"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n             Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery has revealed she is pregnant with her first child as she showed off her baby bump at the premiere for the historical drama\u2019s final film.<\/p>\n<p>The 43-year-old, who plays Lady Mary Crawley in the franchise, wore a light blue gown at the event in Leicester Square on Wednesday night and was pictured with her film producer husband Jasper Waller-Bridge, brother of writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Dockery and Waller-Bridge, who reportedly met through friends and have been together since 2019, got married in 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Dockery was previously engaged to  <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishexaminer.com\/lifestyle\/celebrity\/arid-30711796.html\">John Dineen from Ballinora, Co Cork, who died from cancer aged 34<\/a> at Marymount Hospice in 2015<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">In  Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, Dockery reprises the role of Lady Mary whose family journeyed to the south of France to uncover the mystery of the Dowager Countess\u2019s newly inherited villa in the second film.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/4767857_1_articleinlinemobile_SHOWBIZ_20Downton_20_2019313481.jpg\" alt=\"Jim Carter, Allen Leech, Kevin Doyle, Douglas Reith, Penelope Wilton, Raquel Cassidy, Sophie McShera, Laura Carmichael, Michelle Dockery, Lesley Nicol, Joanne Froggatt, Phyllis Logan, Harry Hadden-Paton, Rob James-Collier, Dominic West, Hugh Bonneville, Joely Richardson and Arty Froushan. Picture: Ian West\/PA Wire<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">It also sees the return of other cast members, including Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Laura Carmichael and Jim Carter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Douglas Reith, who plays the Baron Merton, told the PA news agency that the films honour the legacy of the series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI think this one particularly, just going full circle and bringing it to a wonderful close, is right,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Asked if it is truly the end of  Downton Abbey, Reith said: \u201cI have not the foggiest clue, but I would think it probably is because we\u2019ve gone down to the 1930s now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI think the old ones like me, I mean, we\u2019d all be dead.
