Ryan Reynolds<\/a> cut a dapper figure in a casual suit when he joined Tom Hanks<\/a>‘ nepo baby<\/a> son Colin Hanks on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

The 48-year-old Deadpool star was on hand for\u00a0the world premiere of the documentary John Candy: I Like Me<\/a>,\u00a0which was directed by Colin, who looked shockingly different than usual thanks to his bushy salt-and-pepper beard and rail-thin frame.<\/p>\n

Ryan got some support of his own at the premiere from his mother, Tammy Reynolds.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Marvel star made a stylish appearance in a brown corduroy suit and vintage-looking Canada<\/a> T-shirt.<\/p>\n

His mom flashed her megawatt smile as she posed with him, wearing a white blouse and skirt covered in black polka dots.<\/p>\n

She added a long black cardigan, sparkly silver platforms shoes, and rocked her signature spiky, white-gray pixie haircut.<\/p>\n

Colin hit the red carpet\u00a0in a navy-blue suit and button-up gray shirt that emphasized his seemingly slimmed-down figure.<\/p>\n

The filmmaker, whom his father Tom shares with his ex-wife Samantha Lewes, completed his grizzled look with stylishly retro browline glasses and lustrous black leather shoes.<\/p>\n

Eugene Levy, 78, was another famous face at the star-studded event.<\/p>\n

The Schitt’s Creek star, who was a frequent collaborator of John Candy’s, looked spiffy in his signature round, glossy black spectacles.<\/p>\n

‘There\u2019s no other place that we\u2019d rather be than right here.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘We had numerous conversations with various people about where would the dream place be to premiere this movie, and the truth is the answer resides in the lyrics of John\u2019s favorite song: Oh, Canada, Our Home and Native Land,’ Colin said to the TIFF audience, per Deadline<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And Ryan added about the late comedic actor, ‘John, he left us in 1994. He might be the greatest, most beautiful man that I never met and I really genuinely would have given anything to meet this man.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I\u2019ve been obsessed with him for a very long time, as many people know. My god damn suit is covered in John tonight.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

The production of John Candy: I Like Me was announced by Ryan in 2022.<\/p>\n

And the movie’s Amazon Prime Video acquisition was announced in February 2023.<\/p>\n

The documentary was made with the full support of Candy’s wife Rosemary Margaret Hobor and children Jennifer, 45, and Chris, 40.<\/p>\n

It will give insight into Candy’s private family life off-screen and\u00a0feature never-before-seen home videos, archives and family interviews.<\/p>\n

Colin’s father Tom and stepmother Rita Wilson starred with Candyin the 1985 film Volunteers.<\/p>\n
