With the Pixel 10 series, Google has also launched the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/google-pixel-care-plus-launch-3592063\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pixel Care Plus program<\/a> for $0 battery repairs, though that is an insurance program. If you prefer taking matters into your own hands, you\u2019d be glad to learn that the Pixel 10 series has made battery repairs slightly easier than before, but a lot can still be improved.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Don\u2019t want to miss the best from Android Authority?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The good folks at <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/Q0OGwjH8eBQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">iFixit<\/a> took apart the base Pixel 10 to see just how repairable it is. They found that the phone now comes with a new battery pull tab, one that looks very familiar if you\u2019ve ever disassembled a phone before.<\/p>\n<p>As you\u2019ll see at the 0:53 mark, there\u2019s a green pull tab to help remove the battery from the phone\u2019s frame. It\u2019s a fairly standard plastic pull tab \u2014 pulling on it loosens the adhesive keeping the battery in place, though you\u2019ll need some force to do the job. Users had to pull horizontally, wiggle, and saw up and down to loosen up the battery \u2014 a task that is easier said than done. The iPhone 16 does not use pull tabs. There are four plastic pull tabs on each edge of the battery. As both Samsung and Apple have showcased, Google can adopt much better mechanisms to help with battery removal.
