I&#8217;ve always wanted to be doing good things for others and now I&#8217;ll have significantly more power to do that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">However impressive his run was, Ding could have played for days, weeks, and months longer, and kept winning, and never even touched Jennings&#8217; record.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The official replacement of the beloved Alex Trebek following his <a data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/tv\/jeopardy-host-alex-trebek-dies-at-80\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:death in 2020;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">death in 2020<\/a> at the age of 80, Jennings garnered international notoriety for his unstoppable winning streak back in 2004.
