The Emmy Award-winning series\u2019 will return to Apple TV on Aug. 5<\/p>\n
\n\tTed Lasso<\/a> is back on the field at Nelson Road in the new trailer for the highly-anticipated fourth season of the hit Emmy-winning Apple TV<\/a> show. <\/p>\n \n\tSeason Four of the series<\/a> finds Jason Sudeikis<\/a> reprising his titular role as the beloved coach, a slight plot twist given the character\u2019s apparent departure at the end of the third season in 2023. Now, Lasso is back at AFC Richmond, where he\u2019s been tasked with leading the club\u2019s women\u2019s team out of the second division.<\/p>\n \n\tA new teaser offers a glimpse at the show\u2019s signature mix of humor and poignancy, though it\u2019s largely a montage of on- and off-field hijinks and tender moments set to the Mumford & Sons song \u201cRubber Band Man.\u201d One of the few bits featured in the clip is a scene at the end where Lasso is meeting with team owner\u00a0 Rebecca Welton (played by Hannah Waddingham<\/a>) and politely bumbles through a ridiculous request: \u201cFYI, the ETA is ASAP \u2014 PP. As soon as possible, pretty please.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tAlong with Sudeikis and Waddingham, Season Four of Ted Lasso will feature the returns of Emmy Award winner Brett Goldstein<\/a>, Juno Temple<\/a>, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift<\/a>. New additions to the ensemble are Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.<\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n \n\tDuring its original three season run, Ted Lasso enjoyed tons critical acclaim awards season success.
