There are some quotes you read where your immediate reaction is: \u201cEw! That\u2019s nasty. Who would ever say anything like this out loud?\u201d But then you realize the out-of-pocket quote was from the 90s. Lisa Kudrow<\/a> reflected on her time on Friends<\/a>, and while she enjoyed her time with the cast, there was some inappropriate behavior coming from the writing staff. \u201cOh no, there was definitely mean stuff going on behind the scenes,\u201d Kudrow told The Times of London<\/a>. She explained that the writers\u2019 room was mostly men who were disrespectful towards the women on the show, insulting the cast for their performance. She explained, \u201cDon\u2019t forget we were recording in front of a live audience of 400, and if you messed up one of these writers\u2019 lines or it didn\u2019t get the perfect response they could be like, \u2018Can\u2019t the bitch fucking read? She\u2019s not even trying. She fucked up my line.\u2019 And we know that back in the room the guys would be up late discussing their sexual fantasies about Jennifer and Courteney. It was intense.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOh, it could be brutal, but these guys \u2014 and it was mostly men in there \u2014 were sitting up until 3am trying to write the show so my attitude was, \u2018Say what you like about me behind my back because then it doesn\u2019t matter,\u2019\u200a\u201d Kudrow stated.
