\n\tEuphoria<\/a> fans now know which season three scene the late Eric Dane<\/a> joked about in an interview before his death.<\/p>\n

\n\tBefore the actor died on Feb. 19 following his battle with ALS<\/a>, he sat down with the nonprofit I AM ALS <\/a>and opened up about filming a wedding scene in the Sam Levinson-created show\u2019s new season. However, fans had little context for the sequence in question until episode three, titled \u201cThe Ballad of Paladin,\u201d aired Sunday.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe episode centers on Nate\u2019s (Jacob Elordi) and Cassie\u2019s (Sydney Sweeney) wedding, which sees Nate\u2019s parents, Cal (Dane) and Marsha (Paula Marshall), in attendance. During the reception, Cal, appearing in a drunken state, gives a rambling wedding speech. Cal also reconciles with his past and apologizes to Jules (Hunter Schafer) for filming her while underage as well as shares that he\u2019s now a registered sex offender following a past arrest.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI had a wedding sequence I had to shoot, the reception. And it\u2019s written that I\u2019m wasted, sloshed, drunk for this entire reception. And I was like, people are going to think I\u2019m brilliant,\u201d Dane previously quipped to I AM ALS<\/a>. He added with a laugh, \u201cBecause I already sound like I\u2019m drunk. I don\u2019t need to act.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tALS is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, according to the Mayo Clinic<\/a>. It leads to muscle weakness, with slurred speech\u00a0being a common symptom.<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing Dane\u2019s death, Levinson shared in a statement<\/a> shared with\u00a0The Hollywood Reporter, \u201cI\u2019m heartbroken by the loss of our dear friend Eric. Working with him was an honor. Being his friend was a gift. Eric\u2019s family is in our prayers. May his memory be for a blessing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe official Instagram accounts for\u00a0Euphoria\u00a0and HBO Max also wrote in a joint post at the time, \u201cWe are deeply saddened by the news of\u00a0Eric Dane\u2019s passing. He was incredibly talented and HBO was fortunate to have worked with him on three seasons of\u00a0Euphoria. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n
